The event was hosted by the University’s Task Force on Religious Diversity and Belonging, which is designed to ensure that the University is welcoming to community members from all religions and cultures.
The Committee also addressed balancing student perspectives with those of Committee representatives during panel discussions.
Emma Candelier, director of communications for the SDS, said that the building provides a distinct collaborative space to data science students for the first time.
In an effort to enhance student outreach and introduce incoming students to the Honor System, the Committee will reintroduce Dorm Talks in the Fall 2024 semester.
Hancock and Carson Breus, vice chair for sanctions and third-year Commerce student, said they are collaborating to explore fresh sanctioning avenues.
Howard first introduced the Committee’s new members, including both the Committee's representatives and the newly appointed executive committee.
Howard said her focus on compassion stems from her prior involvement on the side of accused students in previous cases processed by the Committee.
The Committee also discussed the idea of requiring students to complete the Honor module annually or biannually.
The University requested approval from the Board on proposed contracts with Cardinal Health LLC, a pharmaceutical company that will provide CAR T-cell therapies — a therapy used to treat cancer.
